I bought it in September as an anniversary present and the wife loved it. It was more than she expected. I finally got a gift right. We used the cleaning cycle in November and it hasn't worked right since. The repairman, a great guy, has been here twice and it still isn't working right. We have the extended warranty and have made a lot of phone calls, with limited response. My wife is so unhappy, food has been ruined and she doesn't enjoy using the oven anymore. She doesn't trust it. We just wish it worked like it should, like it did a few months ago. The cleaning cycle destroyed this oven. It's January and it's still not right. If it worked as it should, I would give it top marks across the board. It was an amazing upgrade, for 2 months.

I purchased this range, delivery was made 1/2/2024. The lower oven hasn't been used more than 4 times, due to the awful smell. Something is wrong with this oven. I contacted the service dept, they have been to my home 5 times. It is still unusable. I need to talk to someone in a management position to get this corrected. I am beyond frustrated. 5 missed days of work, almost Christmas and no oven to cook with again.

Great Features - Bad Knobs

I bought my stove about 4 1/2 years ago. Overall, I am very pleased with the product except about a year ago the foil on the knobs started coming apart. After cutting my finger on the knobs, I used some clear tape to wrap around the knobs. That worked for a while, but then the case around the knobs come away from the stove front. I have tried looking for replacement knobs and base, but is having difficulty finding the one for model KFGD500EBS00, serial DA4810291. I can't even find a number to call customer services for some help finding the parts. The stove is great, and what I wanted, but the only time I should be cutting my fingers during cooking, is when I am using a knife, not on the knob of the stove. Any information I can get to replace the knobs would be greatly appreciated!

I absolutely love the black stainless steel color. Thought this was an amazing double oven. Lasted about 2yrs and then the oven ignition switch went out. We replaced it and it lasted a little less than a year. So now we will have to replace it again. Im sad because this is the first time any of my Kitchenaid products has gone out.

Discolored stove top

I bought this black stainless range. I talked about doing canning with it, with the sales person. After a couple of months of canning on the front burner, there is no bringing back the shine on the black stainless. The stove top is already discolored. My same range in a white never discolored during many years of canning. Everything else on this range is a good as my old white Kitchenaid range.

We purchased this KitchenAid oven on June 26,2025. It was installed on July 9, 2025. Within 3 weeks of installation the top oven has ceased to work. We contacted the company we purchased the oven from and were told they do not service the product they sold us, advised we needed to contact Whirlpool customer service department and set up an appointment to have someone come out and repair our new oven. We have never owned any other kitchen appliances than KitchenAid, refrigerators, dishwashers, freezers. The new oven was purchased to replace our 31 years old KitchenAid oven that was still functioning. We are updating our kitchen and thought it would be nice to replace our older electric oven with a new double gas oven. After the trouble we have encountered with the new gas oven I truly with I still had my 31 year old oven. I truly hope this repair work after only 3 weeks of use isn't a sign of trouble in the future. We also noticed that the knobs that control the cook surface burners also get very warm when the top oven is turned on with the temperature of 425 degrees. I will bring this to the attention of the service technician.

Love that there is the option of the double oven. It does get quite warm in the house with both ovens on but that is expected. The only thing I don™€™t like is that the timer does not have a frequent beep when it is finished cooking. If I miss the first beep I often miss things that need to come right out of the oven at that time.

Great Stove with Stupid Leveling Legs

The stove is very nice and looks great in our kitchen. I would have given 5 stars but for the terribly designed leveling legs. I had the stove nice and level but every time I pushed it into place it would be lower in the back. After many times of puling it out, leveling it and pushing it back I realized the back legs were turning as it scooted along the floor. They were so loose in the frame they spun with little effort. I had to adjust them where I wanted them then wrap Gorilla Tape around the threads so they would not turn. Dear KitchenAid engineers: Every detail matters!!! A preventable issue caused me problems and added hours to what should have been an easy install.

I'm very pleased overall with the range. The only thing that I've found that needs improvement is the oven timer. You have to push the button twice to turn off. And it only buzzes once then a long pause and again. But other than that it's great! The burners are awesome!! I had a GE before that would not boil water. I found this very strange, I've never run across a range that would not boil water on any burner. But this one is fantastic! And the burners come right on, the ge did not. And I bought the ge new only 4 years ago, junk! Ioved to a new house and bought a GE special package: microwave, refrigerator, range, and dishwasher. I have already replaced the dishwasher and range with KitchenAid. And will replace the refrigerator when needed with KitchenAid. If you're on the fence about this range don't be, it's great

Not the quality I expected

What can I say other than I am extremely disappointed in this appliance. I replaced a 20 year old Maytag Gemini. This new KitchenAid doesn™€™t even compare. Firstly, the build quality is much cheaper than I expected from KitchenAid. The metal is thinner. The doors are thinner. The fit and finishes poor that is directly related to what I perceive as poor quality control, the top panel of the stove doesn™€™t line up with the right hand vertical side panel. The double oven doors from the side, they also don™€™t lineup purchased through a local big box store. Waited a month for it to get here. Took me a couple days to unpack it and get it set up and now it™€™s too late to return it , otherwise I would purchase something else perhaps just is the way things are now. I™€™m not happy with the range I got for the money I spent.

A Bad Buy

From the start, my mixer has been a headache. I have to hold it down when mixing at high-speed, there's no way to add ingredients without having to shut off the mixer and lift up the top, the metal piece on top for attachments keeps unscrewing itself and falling off, and the mixer has so many small spaces that it's impossible to clean thoroughly.

We bought this gas range to replace our broken Whirlpool range. It cost more than we would usually spend on a kitchen range, but I was tired of having to replace so often. It was a good investment. The quality is much better, and it works great. Having two ovens is great also. My wife does a lot of cooking and baking. So much easier and faster.

We purchased in June and received the stove August 6. The range is definitely a few steps above what we started out with. I really enjoy the features I have tried: the touch screen for both ovens is very nice. The top oven and bottom is a little off on temperatures. I'm assuming that the best results in know your oven is trial and error and adding an oven temperature gage will fix small in perfections I'm having baking any confections. The broiler works beautifully.

Holding up well

Oven has held up well the last five years, including the LED display, touch-pad, burners, etc. The middle burner does not put out enough BTU's (to my taste) to use it with the flat griddle. The only time I use the middle griddle is for charring vegetables like peppers and corn on the cob. The burner grates have also held up well, however I'm beginning to get a discoloring effect on the front burners (which are the higher BTU burners). The grates are also not the easiest to clean due to the texture and large size (unable to soak them), but overall we are happy with the stove top. The double oven feature is a feature I love and won't ever go back to a single door oven. The bottom cover over the heating portion of the top oven has warped and "pops" when the oven heats up. Overall, we are happy with the oven and have not needed to have it serviced since we purchased it. Fingers-crossed that continues for many more years. The negatives of this oven after five years are what I believe is a waste of space for the center burner as it lacks the BTU's to be truly useful, the discoloring of the grates above the burners, and the warping of the metal cover over the heating element in the top oven. The positives are the consistent cooking of the burners and oven, the ease of cleaning the unit and the lack of need to have the unit serviced.

From the moment the range was delivered, we fell in love with it. It is a beautiful addition to our kitchen and is so easy to use. My wife loves to cook on the gas burners and uses the griddle, too. The two ovens are especially convenient at our family get-togethers for baking two different things at the same time.

It replaced the exact one thaT I had but which was 10 years old. The control panel on the lower oven went. The part was discontinued so - had to buy a new stove. I certainly was not happy about that.I was very happy with the stove and still am, hence replacing it with the same.

I bought this range to replace my glass top electric range. My first project after getting it did not go very well and ended in the trash. Since then I am doing much better. I enjoy the speed of heating up and when I turn it off it is off. It is the best improvement I have put in my house.

Disappointed as we ordered in July. First unit had a damaged door unit was installed dealer. The second unit has a significant dent in the side and still trying to resolve with The Brothers Main store to resolve the issue. Satisfied with functionality of the appliance so far. Just disappointing to pay $2200 and receive a damaged unit .. twice. Will look toward a different brand after this experience.

30" 5 Burner Gas Double Oven Convection

Our new KitchenAid double gas oven is fantastic! We use the smaller upper oven 95% of the time for faster cooking and saving energy / cost and the bigger lower oven for special dinners, i.e. Thanksgiving or other Holidays! The 5 burner system on top is exceptional for cooking and offers the perfect mix of varying power levels! (btus)

Looks nice but the oven doesn't hold the temp.

I love the look of this range and love the griddle but the bottom oven does not hold the temperature. This can be very aggravating when you think something should be done but it is not. For the cost of the range it should be perfect!
